B&B Villa Carrara

The recently opened Villa Carrara B & B, located in Via Posidonia 164 in Pastena district of Salerno, boasts an enviable position just a few steps from the center and the shopping streets, the sea and the bathing establishments. Moreover, thanks to the proximity to the subway station and the urban and suburban bus stops, other tourist destinations are easily reachable that frame the city of Salerno, such as the Cilento and Amalfi Coast, Paestum, the islands of Capri and Ischia.

Our B & B is a modern smart house. Designed in every detail, it has an integrated home automation system to improve the comfort and safety of customers and reduce energy consumption and environmental impact.

The B & B Villa Carrara, immersed in the heart of Salerno, the city of the sea, good food and the famous “Luci D’Artista”, takes its name from the adjacent Villa Carrara, prestigious noble residence built in the eighteenth century by the Carrara family. Villa Carrara is one of the many historical and architectural beauties of the city of Salerno, famous for having hosted several times Charles III of Spain, then King of Naples and Sicily, as also told by Giacomo Casanova in his works.

The spacious rooms of Villa Carrara, recently renovated, are furnished in a modern style to offer guests maximum relaxation. EXCAVATIONS OF ERCOLANO AND POMPEI

The excavations of Herculaneum and Pompeii are located in the province of Naples and are famous all over the world for being the only archaeological sites to give the visitor a clear description of a Roman town. The perfect conservation of the excavations of Herculaneum and Pompeii is the result of the manner in which they were buried. In fact, the tons of ash, pumice and lapilli have created a layer of over 6 meters that has preserved the ancient center from decay. Visiting the excavations of Pompeii and Herculaneum is like returning to 79 AD.

Over the years have been found several artifacts, frescoes, mosaics, statues and objects of various kinds currently preserved at the National Archaeological Museum of Naples.

NAPLES

Naples is a city rich in history and architectural beauties, a veritable open-air museum. AMALFI COAST

The Amalfi Coast pearl of the Campania coast and UNESCO heritage extends from Vietri sul Mare to Positano. The coast is famous all over the world for its scenic beauty and for its cultural, architectural and gastronomic heritage. Among the cities that make it up we remember: Amalfi with the Cathedral and the Paradise Cloister; Cetara, famous for the pouring of anchovies; Conca dei Marini with its Emerald Grotto with breathtaking beauty; Ravello with its Duomo and the splendid Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo and the Oscar Niemeyer Auditorium. The cities of the coast are easily reachable from Salerno either by bus or by sea from the port.

ISLANDS

Capri and Ischia are part of the Campania archipelago, also known as the “Isole Partenopee“, which includes five islands: Capri, Ischia, Procida, Vivara and Nisida. Famous all over the world for their beauty, for their breathtaking landscapes, and for their historical and cultural heritage, they are easily reachable from the Port of Salerno with ferries and hydrofoils active from April to October.

CILENTAN COAST

The Cilento coast extends from the Gulf of Salerno to the Gulf of Policastro. The coastal stretch stands out for its natural expanses, breathtaking landscapes and crystal clear sea. So much so that each year the beaches of Cilento are awarded with a blue flag (international recognition that is assigned to seaside resorts that meet criteria related to sustainable management of the territory). Clear sea, caves and inlets to explore, the Cilento is the ideal half for those who want to relax surrounded by nature.
The Cilento is not only sea, but also tradition and culture. You can discover many villages with a magical atmosphere, where you can rediscover popular traditions and food and wine.

The most attractive places of the Cilento Coast are: Castellabate, Agropoli; Palinuro, Acciaroli, Marina di Camerota, Scavi di Velia and Paestum.
